Masterson’s Pub , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my latest trip at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its walls was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
Cleanliness Issues : Squalid and Neglected
From the moment I stepped inside , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The floorboards were filthy, and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and filthy restrooms filled the entire bar . Emitting a scent of a mixture of ammonia , old age and sour vomit . For a business that provides refreshments , these issues are absolutely intolerable and raise serious concerns about the integrity of their products .

During my time there, I became aware of how uncomfortable several female guests seemed around Cornwell. As I looked into it more , I was alarmed to find reports against him involving sexual harassment , with multiple women reporting interactions of harassing them digitally. Described as overly aggressive and boundary-crossing , his behavior has created an unwelcoming setting for women who attend Masterson’s. His presence at the bar often appeared as that of a unsettling figure than a welcoming host .
